How does DR-HO'S Circulation Promoter work?
It relieves neck and shoulder pain, improves local blood circulation and promotes healthy muscle performance. Read below how DR-HO's Circulation Promoter works.
The Circulation Promoter uses TENS, EMS and NMES therapy enhanced with AMP technology.
TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) works by stimulating nerves to interrupt the flow of pain signals to the brain. It is also believed to help release endorphins, a chemical that our bodies naturally produce to relieve pain. This technology can help provide symptomatic relief and treatment for pain.
At the same time, EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) works by stimulating muscles, causing them to contract and relax. This constant stimulation helps increase local blood circulation, relieve muscle pain, and improve muscle performance.
Most TENS devices only provide one type of stimulation. While they may initially relieve pain, eventually the body adapts to the stimulation and continues to send pain signals. Using DR-HO's patented AMP (Auto Modulation Pulse) technology, the Circulation Promoter delivers over 300 different electrical stimulations that automatically and randomly vary in wavelength, frequency, and rest periods. This variety of pain relief pulses prevents adaptation to treatment and ensures that the device continues to provide effective relief with every use.
Hospitals and paramedics, such as physiotherapists and chiropractors, have for decades used neuromuscular electrical stimulation for pain management.
If you are travelling or on the move, you can continue your treatments with the massage body pads and the set of portable foot relief pads. You can easily connect them to the Pain Therapy Device control unit for portable use.
Tip for use
Water must be sprayed over the foot electrodes on the foot base and the portable foot relief pads before each use and again during prolonged treatments. A convenient mini spray bottle is provided for this purpose.
Important! Use is not recommended for:
If you wear a pacemaker, implanted defibrillator or other implanted metallic or electronic device.
If you have an undiagnosed pain syndrome.
If the risk of bleeding is high.
Immediately after surgery (stimulation can interrupt the healing process).
Near your eyes, on your head or face.
On open wounds, rashes (swollen, red, infected or inflamed, rashes such as phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, varicose veins) and on or near malignant tumours.
